St Andrews Scouts is open to boys and girls aged between 10½ and 14 year who want to make friends and develop their widening interests in way that are both educational and fun – young people who want a break from the usual after school routine of homework, games and watching television.

Our activities are about action and involvement and mean more than just camping. Hiking, rock climbing, sailing, pioneering, skiing, canoeing, abseiling, putting on shows and exhibitions, motor mechanics, electronics, photography – the list is endless!

Scouts are also given the chance to learn skills in survival, cooking and first aid. There are opportunities to go abroad as well.

Scouts…

• Make their own decisions
• plan their own activities
• challenge themselves
• work as a team
• learn about leadership and commitment
• undertake outdoor activities and challenges
• help others
• have the chance to travel
• earn the Chief Scout Gold Award
• And can go on to become Explorer Scouts, and even meet the Queen!

St Andrews Scout Troop meets on Thursday from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at St Andrews Scout Group headquarters on Polhill Avenue.
